Whole Oat Pancakes

Blended oats

Well my kids are pancake lovers and I can't say I blame them. However, I was tired of feeding them processed food every morning for breakfast. I am not saying that they don't eat processed foods, but everything in moderation...right?

So I decided I needed to come up with a way to make pancakes that would be healthier and really fill their tummies with something yummy but good for them! I was so happy when my whole oat pancakes were a hit!!! Go Mommy!!!

Ingredients

1 1/2 c of blended steel cut oats
3 tsp sugar (coconut sugar or white sugar)
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
3/4 c milk
2 T lemon juice
1 egg
2 T melted butter
1 tsp vanilla (optional)
cooking spray

Directions

Pour lemon juice in milk, stir and set aside.

In a separate bowl add blended oats, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Mix together.
Melt butter in the microwave. Approx. 30 sec.
Crack egg in milk/lemon mixture and whisk. Add melted butter and whisk.
Add the milk mixture to the oat mixture and stir just until combined.
Heat griddle and lightly spray with cooking spray.
Pour batter on hot griddle (1/3 c per pancake) flip when bubbles appear.
Serve with your favorite syrup! Or you can make your own!

It Works! Skinny Wrap Facts in Kansas City

What is It?

The It Works body wrap aka Ultimate Body Applicator is a non-woven cloth that is infused with our incredible combination of ingredients that aid in tightening, toning and firming.  It is a first to market product and can only be sold through an independent distributor.  Use caution when purchasing from sites such as Ebay or Amazon.

How Do You Use It?

 Simply remove the applicator from the package and apply to clean skin.  Use saran wrap or a tight garment to keep it in place for 45 minutes.  After 45 minutes you can remove it and throw it away.  The directions are on the package and you can also check out my tips for successful wrapping.  You can apply the applicator to your legs, arms, buttocks, chin, tummy, back and breasts. Yes it works on breasts too!  We recommend taking before pictures so you can track your results.

How Often Can I Use It?

 We recommend once every 72 hours.  The applicator ingredients will be working for up to 72 hours so results can be progressive.
 

How Long Should I Leave the Applicator On?

 The recommended time is 45 minutes so I recommend sticking to that to test the sensitivity of your skin.  I have heard of people wearing it for a day, but you just need 45 minutes.
 

Can I Sleep in It?

 Sometimes when we sleep we sweat and you don’t want to sweat while wearing the applicator.  I know people do this, but I don’t think it is necessary.
 

Can I Use More Than One at a Time?

 I recommend sticking to one area at a time and one applicator at a time.  I was at an It Works boot camp and our product formulator suggested the same thing.  The only exception would be legs and arms.  You can wrap those at the same time to achieve symmetrical results.
 

What Size is It?

 The applicator is 13×21 inches.  It kind of looks like a Texas sized band aid. :)

How Much Water Should I Drink?

Staying hydrated is so important to successful results so we recommend drinking half of your body weight in ounces of water.  So if you weigh 150lbs, drink 75 ounces of water each day.

Should I Drink that Much Water While I Have the Wrap On? 

NO.  You will be bloated and have to pee all night.  Most wrap parties happen in the evening.  Drink about 16 or so ounces (a water bottle) while you are wrapping and then the next 3 days is when you want to drink the recommended amount of water each day. (Half your body weight in ounces)

How Does the Ultimate Applicator Work?

 While many body wraps are made to cause water loss, the Ultimate Body Applicator does not.  In fact we encourage drinking lots of water.  Our applicator uses a botanically based cream formula that gives you tightening, toning, and firming results on any area of your body that it is applied to.  These results last. Buying Wraps on Ebay or Amazon

BEWARE when you are buying It Works™ products from any site except for the It Works approved distributors. Here is an example of an Amazon ad for the body applicator.

When you buy from auction sites or mass sale sites such as Ebay™ and Amazon™ it is difficult to monitor whom you are buying the product from. There is no way to guarantee the quality of the product unless you purchase directly from It Works. While it is true that the prices may be cheaper on some of the other sites, the quality can’t be monitored.

Tips for Getting the Results You Want from It Works! Wraps

This product is not recommended for pregnant or nursing women or children. If you have a medical condition, health concern, or are taking prescription medication, consult with your health care professional before using this product.

Here is a list of some best practices that have helped me achieve results personally. I hope they work for you too. :)

• Do not use soaps with lanolin -  they tend to clog pores.

• Wipe the area with our skin cleanser and toner -  make sure there are no lotions or perfumes on your skin.

• Take a before picture – Take one from the front and both sides.  Stand in front of a mirror if you need to.

• Drink plenty of water – ½ your body weight in ounces the day you wrap and 3 days following. (If you weigh 150 lbs, drink 75 ounces of water a day)

• Avoid salty foods.

• Take a hot shower first – make sure skin is clean and pours are open. No lotions or perfumes on your skin before you wrap.

• Use proper wrapping material – Saran wrap, ace bandage or tight clothing (biker shorts) to secure applicator snug enough so the wrap doesn’t slide off, but not tight enough to make you start sweating.

• Wear for 45 minutes – 5 hours -  then remove saran wrap. The goal is to have as much of the product absorb as possible so rub it in after you remove the wrap, don’t wash it off.

• No sweating – don’t work out  or do anything else that will make you sweat while you are wearing the wrap.

• Only use one wrap per area every 72 hours -  anything more is a waste. (Example, don’t put 2 wraps on your belly)

• Relax, enjoy and think slim. :)
